The Plug - Contributors

Jay Carlson started The Plug in 1993 in 'zine format. Then in 2002, he made online issues. That was fun. Now he's back with a third installment of The Plug. You're reading it right now, possibly contemplating whether or not you'll read it again. Come on, baby. Give me one more chance. You're my everything.

In addition to creative contributions, Patti makes the words of this website sparkle as the site's much-needed copy editor. She's also funny as hell, which isn't a funny place on its own, but it would be if she were there. Which she won't. Patti loves good food, shopping, and snooping about you on the internet.

I have dreams of winning the lottery so that I can spend my days paying Jason Royal to come over and drink beers with me. He's an avid reader, baseball enthusiast, new father, but most importantly he has dreamy facial hair. Now and forevermore. Amen.

Sarah Brown is the mastermind behind Cringe, an open-mic night in New York featuring adults who read embarrassing passages from their teenage diaries. The international phenomenon has spawned a Random House book, the joy of using a verb as a noun, and [fingers crossed] adult dolls that wet themselves.

Aaron Dallas does computer stuff for a living (keystrokes and backslashes and what-not). It's over my head, but I can relate to Aaron's obsession with flavored soda water. When Aaron is weak from dehydration, that's when I offer him a cold, refreshing can of bubbly H20 in exchange for his Plug services. And so continues the rich history of exploiting my friends.

Alexis Siemon has a fun website, Mod Hound, devoted to one of her favorite passions, design. In her spare time, she complains about working a 9-to-5 job instead of playing with her dog or drinking her husband's homebrew. She lives in South Florida, and therefore wears shorts year-round.

This is Mason Gentry. He's a very prolific web designer who lives in California. When he's not busy designing webs, Mason spends his time thinking about how much he and I look alike. And after that, it's right back to web design. Sadly, I've never met Mason, but we have been known to collaborate on a project or two.

That's Lee DiGeorge. He's a teacher in New York City who injects humor into stuffy ol' education. Don't worry; Old Man Learning had it coming. Lee is also the admin for The Plug Fan Group on Facebook. Now that you two have met, feel free to join his army, won't you?

Tracie Masek is a sandwich advocate who will defend the marriage of meat, cheese, and vegetables between two pieces of bread until the day she dies. When she's not eating all four food groups in one bite, Tracie is busy being hilarious and volunteering as a tour guide for Central Park in New York.
